It's big, full of actual cities and towns as well as the usual military bases Too many checkpoints and AA sites, not enough outposts. There are only 21 outposts in the entire map, the same amount as Far Cry 5, despite the map being 3 times larger than Far Cry 5. I hated or didn't care for practically any of Libertad except for El Tigre. The different ammo types are essentially all worthless aside from armor piercing. Far Cry is an acquired taste so if you get the bug, either should be fine. 3 was my favorite but is pretty dated now. The closest one to it is 6, IMHO. To answer your question, I liked 5 better than 4. 4 recycled the map from 3, and I just didn't care about the story. And the stories are very, very different. Far Cry 6 One of the weakest points of farcry 5 was the ai, both spawn behavior and combat behavior I just replayed the halo trilogy and although it's an old game the ai's behavior's really good; the way enemies know when to push you, disingage when they need letting their friends cover them while they do, stuff like that. The map is also the same map from Far Cry 5, but nature has retaken the land and ruined the familiar buildings. New Dawn was met with general apathy from fans, with many feeling that the story was lacking and the gameplay was recycled from the previous game with no notable improvements. I’d skip this one unless you’re an ultra fan of Far Different lead studio wanted to put their own twist on it and inevitably fumbled it. I played 5 on xbox one and 6 on a series x so I don't know what graphical downgrade you're referring to though.
