🐏 Skoda Octavia Sat Nav Not Working
The older Columbus does not have a SIM and only receives TMC traffic information from FM radio stations, which it is supposed to pass to the navigation system to affect the dynamic routing. This can work well, but also can be significantly out of date and in some cases, like mine, just suddenly stops working.
Help / advice needed if possible: I upgraded the database on my Skoda Superb (bought new 2017) to 19/20 i.e the data within HIGH12_P177_EU_201920. The upgrade went (it seemed) ok and ran slowly through to 100% however having got to 100%, it thought for a while and then the screen message displaye
Colombus is different, that'll work with any card, the maps are read from hard drive, SD card is just to transfer new data. I suspect part of the reason only Skoda cards work on Amundsen is because they read the maps directly from SD and VW Group want to ensure a minimum performance standard is met (read speed and longevity) to avoid people using cheap SD cards and then slating the Nav system

This will reinstall the maps on the Hard Drive in the unit - won't take more than about 15-20 minutes. If the Nav has been working, its possible that the map data has become corrupt.
Here it is again, and I'll leave it be for now. However the updates appear to be for the latest generation of Columbus and Amundsen+ as featured in the new Octavia. The updates require a SD Card to load them, which we all know is not possible on the older generation of Columbus.
I have just purchased a 2016 plate Octavia Business addition I have a couple of issues. The telephone and bluetooth media does not work. After pressing the phone button, the screen displays 'Telephone not available'. Selecting media bluetooth it shows 'Unable to switch to Bluetooth'. There is no
