π Euro Truck Simulator 2 Scale
The official scale for ATS is 1:20 and for ETS2 it's 1:19 (EU)/1:15 (UK)/1:3 (cities). But the time is also scaled. In fact, in a little experiment I just did in ATS, it appears time is scaled based on how fast you move.

and see how it compares to the scaling you usually use. With this method you're locked to 100% scaling but I think the results are better than 400% scaling (at least on my 1080p monitor), to me it made the game far more enjoyable. for your physics.scs file :) bristle_stiffness_longitudinal_factor: 100.0.

However with ATS, it struggles when I change the buffer_scale off of the default 1.0. Open highway is smooth, but near cities it becomes a chop-fest. ATS is so beautiful, but I hate sacrificing immersion for stability. All the other settings are the same between the two games. My PC is a AMD 3600x, 2070 Super, 16g RAM, M.2 HD, Oculus Rift S
Is Euro Truck Simulator 2 to scale? You have probably learned from at least one source that the map scales of ETS2 and ATS are both 1:20, but this is not actually the case. The map scales in these two games only differ by a little, for that the map scale in ETS2 is 1:19 and the scale of ATS's map is 1:20.
Most of games usually use only one reflection texture during a render stage (once per frame), but since reflection effect use cube mapping technique which requires 6 textures per cube, larger texture size will have impact to rendering performance. IMO (and I could be wrong), the 200% scaling in the game uses 100% actual screen resolution per 1
